SEPT 15, 2012 – LATINO FILM FESTIVAL AT THE PUERTO RICAN FESTIVAL (Rochester, NY)

THE BORINQUENEERS has been selected to participate at the Puerto Rican Festival of Rochester’s Latino Film Festival.  The film festival which will spotlight four powerful and inspiring Latino films will take place on September 15, 2012 at St. John Fisher College, 3690 East Avenue Rochester, NY from 1pm – 11pm.  For more information contact 585-234-7660.  Please note seating is limited and based on a first come, first served basis.  Prices: Entire Film Festival is FREE admission!

The films are as follows:

Viva Cuba – 1:00pm
The friendship between two children is threatened by their parents’ differences.  

Santo Domingo Blues – 3:00pm
A feature-length documentary that tells the story of the guitar-playing, singer-songwriter Luis Vargas and Bachata, the guitar blues of Santo Domingo.

The Borinqueneers – 5:00pm

Special presentation by Producer/Director Noemi Figueroa

Un Cuento Chino – 7:30pm
In Buenos Aires, the bitter and methodic Roberto is a lonely man and the owner of a hardware store.

Social – 9:00pm
Join us after the feature presentation for an evening of music provided by DJ Tone Capone and free food provided by D’Mangu Restaurant.
