My Father fought in the Korean War with the Fighting 65th Infantry. He dosen’t talk about it much but sometimes he tells stories to his grandchildren about things that he went through while in Korea. His name is Pedro R. Perez and is now 80 years old. I recently purchased the book about the fighting 65th Infantry and gave it to him for Christmas. My Father was unjustly discharged from the U.S.Army after returning from Korea and was never given his proper place in history. He was not mentioned in the book, although he served side by side with the bravest men of the fighting 65th. To me what he went through can never be forgotten and He will always be my Hero and a true BORINQUENEER.
