Private First Class Euripides Amy Colon entered the U.S. Army from New York and was a member of G Company, 2nd Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. On February 6, 1952, he was one of the eight patrol members who went missing at Hill 223. The specific details surrounding his loss are unknown, and he was not identified among remains returned to U.S. custody after the ceasefire. Today, Private First Class Colon is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. His name is also inscribed on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC, which was updated in 2022 to include the names of the fallen.
