A Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at noon to honor four Borinqueneer veterans representing all three wars the 65th Infantry Regiment participated in – World War I, World War II and the Korean War. Family members in attendance will be awarded the medal for MSG Juan Rivera (Ret.) (served in CO C during WWI), PVT Teodosio Perez (served in CO G during WWI), PFC Miguel Morales-Hidalgo (served in CO B during WWII) and Antonio Feliciano-Vazquez (served in the Heavy Mortar Co. during the Korean War). Medals will be provided by El Pozo Productions and the Central Florida Chapter of the Borinqueneers Motorcycle Club, who are also hosting the event at the Makinson-Caron American Legion Post 10, 205 Lakeview Dr, Kissimmee, FL 34741. The vetting of the veterans was conducted by Jorge Mercado of the Borinqueneers Congressional Medal Ceremony National Committee and El Pozo Productions.
