I just want to start by saying that I am proud of our 65th Infantry Regiment. Growing up in Canovanas Puerto Rico I lived closed to “La 65 Infanteria” Carretera #3 (Puerto Rico Route 3) whcih I did not understood the name until I join the U.S Army and I was station in Camp Hovey Korea from 1998 to 1999. I was with the 1st Infantry 9th Regiment doing Staff Duty when I found a military history book that mentioned the 65th Inf Reg. It had pictures, stories and names of my fellow patriots. I was overwhelm of joy when I read this book. Feeling home sick from being away from my Island I understood how they felt specially in the harsh cold winters. Again I am proud of the 65th and proud of being an American Soldier.
