In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the University of Connecticut will offer a screening of the documentary film “The Borinqueneers” on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Student Union Theatre, 2110 Hillsdale Road, Storrs Center, Connecticut 06269. Filmmaker Noemi Figueroa Soulet will be in attendance to provide an introduction and Q&A session. This free private event is open to UConn students and staff and is sponsored by the Puerto Rican/Latin American Cultural Center, UConn Library, UConn Veterans & Military Programs and the Asian American Cultural Centre.
