Sept. 22, 2003 - The 6th Calvary Brigade and the 1st Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regt. invited us to do 4 presentations in South Korea in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Waiting to board our long flights to South Korea were (left to right) LTC Angel Escribano (Ret.), Noemi and SFC German Bravo (Ret.). Both Borinqueneers flew from Puerto Rico to meet Noemi in NY.
Our busy itinerary included visits to U.S. troops at Suwon, Osan and Kunsan airbases and at Camp Humphreys.
We met wonderful service members who treated us like VIPs.

LTC Angel Escribano (Ret.) uses humor to chat with the troops. Escribano served for 22 years and earned a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and Purple Heart in the Korean War.
