Aug. 11, 2003 - Interview re-shoots took place at the Univ. of Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR with Co-Producer Raquel Ortiz, Jorge Garrido (cameraman) (center) and Heriberto Rosas Rossy (Soundperson).
One of the veterans re-interviewed was SFC German Bravo (Ret.) of the Headquarters & Headquarters Co., Anti-Tank Platoon.
Sept. 22, 2003 - The 6th Calvary Brigade and the 1st Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regt. invited us to do 4 presentations in South Korea in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Waiting to board our long flights to South Korea were (left to right) LTC Angel Escribano (Ret.), Noemi and SFC German Bravo (Ret.). Both Borinqueneers flew from Puerto Rico to meet Noemi in NY.
Our busy itinerary included visits to U.S. troops at Suwon, Osan and Kunsan airbases and at Camp Humphreys.
We met wonderful service members who treated us like VIPs.
An attentive audience many of whom had never heard of the 65th Inf. Regt.
A screening of the work-in-progress film was presented.
SFC German Bravo (Ret.) shares his wartime experiences with the troops. Bravo served in the Army for 20 years.
LTC Angel Escribano (Ret.) uses humor to chat with the troops. Escribano served for 22 years and earned a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and Purple Heart in the Korean War.
Everywhere we went, we were showered with honors and gifts.
