The Puerto Rico Memorial Monument was erected in August of 1977 by Colonel Lavon P. Linn but throughout the years has severely decayed. Only built from fiberglass and wood materials, it has cracked and rotted away including the plastic name plates and the seal of Puerto Rico which was made of a plastic composite as well. While other monuments were built or have been rebuilt of marble, stone or granite with seal and name dedication bronze plates, Puerto Rico's Memorial Monument has been forgotten!
The PA Borinqueneers 65th Motorcycle Club will never forget the sacrifice and heroism of our Puerto Rican Medal of Honor recipients and is committed to raising the funds needed to have this monument rebuilt no matter how long it takes. "It is our duty as veterans and Americans not to forget what these soldiers have endured through their flawless devotion and dedication to country! We will never falter."
