Igrail Morales Gonzalez, 85, was born in Arecibo, P.R. on Jan. 11, 1927 and passed away on August 6, 2012 in Kissimmee, Florida.  He was drafted in 1950 and served in Co. “E”, 65th Inf. Regt. in Korea.  Later, he was transferred to the 8069 Replacement Battalion (not part of the 65th) serving as translator for the recently arrived Colombian troops until Oct., 1952 when he returned to Puerto Rico.  He then served one year in the National Guard 296th Infantry before moving to New York.  In addition, he worked for UPS for 10 years. In the past few years, Igrail would attend many activities in Florida that recognized     him and his fellow Borinqueneer veterans.  He was interred at the Florida National Cemetery.  Submitted by his friend, Raul Reyes Castañeira.
