Below is the video of the Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Unveiling Ceremony at Emancipation Hall, U.S. Capitol, Washington DC on April 13, 2016. I was one of the fortunate ones to be present and experience this once-in-a-lifetime event. What you will not see in the video was the electricity in the air, the excitement in the room and the look of pride on the faces of the Borinqueneer veterans. The highlight of the event was when the audience accompanied the singer in a very vocal rendition of our nostalgic and beloved classic “En Mi Viejo San Juan” which brought down the house. There was not a dry eye in the room!  Video from the United States House of Representatives Special Events You Tube Channel (1 hr. 30 min.)
